Caroline Edwards is a founding partner of TOURBOmusic, a music agency based in Zurich Switzerland specialising in folk, traditional and world music. Its international artist roster spans worldwide traditional and folk acts including the acclaimed Huun Huun Tu, a throat-singing group from Tuva, Columbia's innovative La Perla and Polish folk group Kosy who perform ancient music from southern Poland.
Prior to TOURBOmusic Caroline worked as an artist agent and promoter organising concerts throughout Switzerland predominantly for Irish artists, a role she continues with TOURBOmusic through initiatives such as tour series ‘Celtic Carrousel Tours’ featuring Irish and Scottish folk and traditional musicians, and ‘Songs from Ireland: Old & New’ which combines traditional and contemporary Irish artists. TOURBOmusic also regularly books Irish acts at major festivals in Switzerland. Among the musicians Caroline has represented are Sharon Shannon, Michael McGoldrick, John Doyle, Tim Edey, Ye Vagabonds, Lisa O'Neill The Bonny Men, This is How we Fly, Mundy, Bronagh Gallagher, Paul Tiernan, David Hope, Mark Geary, The High Seas, Duach, Dallahan, The Friel Sisters, Gay McKeon and Liam O Connor, No Crows (feat. Steve Wickham), The Eskies and many others.
Caroline works with the Irish Embassy in Bern to promote the shows and through them, Irish tourism, and has forged links with Irish music interest groups in Switzerland, as well as venues who are keen on promoting Irish music, several of whom run special Irish music programmes.
Alongside her agency work, Caroline is also a practising lawyer in the field of music and entertainment law representing clients across a broad range of issues and contracts.
