Dr. David Teevan
Dr. David Teevan is a co-founder of the Irish Arts Festival Archive, part of the University College Dublin Heritage Collections, held in UCD Library. He has over 30 years
experience as a producer and festival programmer, including fifteen as Artistic Director of Clonmel Junction Arts Festival, a 10-day multidisciplinary arts festival, that presented a rich and challenging programme blending Irish and International music, theatre and circus.
In 2020 David completed a PhD in cultural policy at UCD. He worked as Festival Advisor to Arts Council IrelandAn
Chomhairle Ealaíon from June 2016 to August 2022.
In 2001 David set up Ten42 Productions, a production and touring agency principally geared towards global musics, theatre and dance. The company has had very successful tours with Rodrigo y Gabriela, Welsh contemporary circus NoFit State, Dutch tango band Sexteto Canyengue, and Ghanaian dance troupe Kake. Ten42 productions played an integral part in the revival of the career of the legendary folk singer Liam Clancy in 2004, managing his Irish and international touring until his retirement in May 2009, and co-producing a platinum selling greatest hits album and an album of new work called “The
Wheels of Life”.
