Volunteer!

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

Volunteers are the backbone of any successful event, and this has been proven time and again over the years by our dedicated team. As we gear up for Your Roots Are Showing - Ireland's Folk Conference, we invite both experienced and new volunteers to join us in creating an unforgettable experience!

Volunteers are expected to work three 4-hour shifts throughout the conference week to qualify for volunteer benefits (detailed below). You can select your preferred shifts when you fill out your application. We value our volunteers highly and leverage their skills across various roles during the event week.

Volunteer Registration

Registration for volunteers is conducted online. Through the application, you can indicate your preferred areas of involvement, availability, and any special skills you may contribute. We have categorised volunteer opportunities into 7 key areas:

- Exhibit Hall
- Registration
- Volunteer Coordination
- Hospitality
- Conference Activities
- Music Sessions
- Music Trail

Note: Professionals seeking to conduct business or network at the conference are advised to register as attendees rather than volunteers to avoid scheduling conflicts with critical networking opportunities and sessions.
