2027 DATES COMING SOON!

VOLUNTEER!
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Volunteers are the backbone of every successful event — and Your Roots Are Showing is no exception. As Ireland’s Folk Conference returns, we’re inviting both new and returning volunteers to help create an unforgettable experience.
Volunteers work three 4-hour shifts during the conference week to qualify for volunteer benefits (outlined below). You can select your preferred shifts and areas when completing your application.
Volunteer Registration
Registration is online. You’ll indicate your preferred roles, availability, and any special skills. Opportunities are available across seven key areas:
-
Exhibit Hall
-
Registration
-
Volunteer Coordination
-
Hospitality
-
Conference Activities
-
Music Sessions
-
Music Trail
Note: Professionals attending for networking or business should register as attendees rather than volunteers to avoid schedule conflicts.
Volunteer Benefits
Volunteering offers a rewarding way to engage with the folk and roots community while enjoying:
-
Complimentary access to conference seminars and showcases
-
Free volunteer t-shirt
-
Access to the volunteer hospitality area

Complete all assigned shifts and plan personal activities outside those times
-
