Now in its third year, Your Roots Are Showing has become a cornerstone event for Ireland’s folk, roots, and traditional music community. This annual conference is set to take place at the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, County Kerry, offering a vibrant schedule over five days and four nights. Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of activities including professional development sessions, networking opportunities, live performances, and interactive workshops that celebrate and explore the rich traditions of Irish music. The conference attracts a mix of local and international artists, music industry professionals, and folk music enthusiasts, all converging to share their knowledge, experience, and passion for folk music culture. Attendees have access to a variety of networking and mentorship opportunities, such as Peer Sessions tailored for agents, labels, festivals, and artists, along with speed meetings and artist mentorship sessions. Additionally, the Official Showcases highlight jury-selected, tour-ready musicians from various cultures and musical backgrounds. These showcases consist of 30-minute performances on fully equipped stages, providing artists with a platform to demonstrate their talents to an audience of festival and venue bookers, agents, record labels, DJs, media representatives, and others.
