Hello friends,

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that Official Showcase applications for Your Roots Are Showing 2026 open on April 5th, 2025 – and if performing in front of international bookers, promoters, media, and industry professionals sounds like your kind of gig… you’ll want to mark your calendar.

We’re calling on folk, roots, traditional, acoustic, bluegrass, world music, and genre-bending artists from all over the globe to throw their hat in the ring for YRAS 2026, taking place January 14–18, 2026.

Why Apply to an Official Showcase?

Because this is not just another gig. It’s a professionally produced, high-impact showcase in front of the people who can help take your career to the next level.

Think: Fully equipped showcase stages 30-minute performance slots A buzzing crowd of tastemakers, festival programmers, agents, and media. Access to workshops, industry panels, networking events, and our delegate-only gig fair.

If you’ve been looking for a platform to show what you can do – this is it.

What You’ll Need

Once applications go live on our website on April 5th, you’ll be asked to provide:

Artist/band name and contact info
A concise 250-word bio
Two streaming audio links (no downloads or WeTransfers please)
One live performance video
Two high-res press images
Media links (reviews, interviews, awards, etc.)
A simple stage plot (PDF)
Contact details for your artist representative, if you have one

The deadline to apply is July 7th, 2025. We’ll notify all selected artists within four weeks of the closing date.
