The Outcast Crew

Ireland

Straight from the heart of Ireland, The Outcast Crew are tearing up the rulebook and breathing fire into the world of Celtic music. This is Irish trad-punk like you’ve never heard before—raw, raucous, and relentlessly infectious. Whether they’re storming stages across Europe or blasting through your speakers, this band is impossible to ignore.

Hot off a blistering 20-date tour across Germany, The Outcast Crew earned their fierce moniker “The Godfathers of Punky Folk”—a title well deserved and proudly worn. These lads don’t just play music, they ignite it.

Their explosive track “Bound for Hell” didn’t just shake venues—it found its way onto a major BBC documentary about the notorious Kinahan crime family, closing out Episode 1 with defiant grit and swagger, and making another standout appearance in Episode 2. When the BBC wants to capture chaos and edge, they call The Outcast Crew.

Their 2021 debut album, “Myths & Yarns”, crashed onto the scene like a rogue wave—grabbing #1 Best Debut Album and a place in the Top 20 Albums of 2021 according to Celtic punk tastemakers London Celtic Punks. Released through LA-based Songs to Your Eyes, the album put the band on the global map with its furious fiddles, pounding rhythms, and tales that sting like a slap of cold Atlantic wind.

In 2024, they returned stronger, stranger, and more soulful with their sophomore release, “Rovin’ Again”—a genre-hopping, boots-kicking journey that laced their punk-folk roots with Americana grit and back-alley blues.
Released by Warner Chappell Production Music, this record earned them critical acclaim, landing at #9 in The Mighty Decibel’s Top 10 Albums of 2024, and #7 on London Celtic Punks’ Best Albums of the Year list.

Visually, they’re the stuff of legend—peak caps, disheveled beards, and eyes like they’ve seen every dive bar from Cork to Berlin. Sonically, they channel the chaotic soul of The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers, mashed up with the whiskey-soaked poetry of The Pogues and the roaring heart of The Dubliners. The result? A riotous, foot-stomping, pint-spilling Celtic punk sound that punches through generations.

With the recent passing of Shane MacGowan, the world has been waiting for someone to carry the torch—not to replace, but to reignite. The Outcast Crew aren’t imitators—they’re innovators. They’re not just keeping Irish folk-punk alive—they’re dragging it, laughing and kicking, into the future.

And with the Godfathers of Punky Folk at the helm, you can be sure it’s in good hands.
