Brian Hill
Talent Agent, United Talent Agency
Brian Hill has loved music since he was a small boy, and it was in high
school that he decided to make music his career.
Then, while attending the University of California, Irvine he began
promoting on-campus concerts, which is where he made his decision to
become a talent agent, through his dealings with myriad nefarious
characters on both ends of the telephone.
Upon graduation, he went to work in the famed mailroom of Creative Artists
Agency in Beverly Hills CA. This led to a promotion to the music
department, and eventually a move to Nashville TN, to start the
Progressive Global Agency (REM, Widespread Panic, The Specials, Adam
Ant, The Bluetones, Gene, Guster) with Buck Williams and Scott Clayton.
After three years at PGA, Brian made the move to Monterey Peninsula
Artists (Dave Matthews Band, Wilco, Phish, Robert Earl Keen, Emmylou
Harris, Lyle Lovett) where he worked for 18 years, through their sale to
Paradigm, now Wasserman. In 2015, he returned to CAA for almost eight
years, where he rekindled many personal and professional relationships
from his prior employment there. In 2022, Brian followed many ex-pat CAA
and Paradigm agents to United Talent Agency (Megan Moroney, My
Morning Jacket, Lizzo, Oliver Anthony, Aaron Lewis, Eli Young Band),
where he anticipates working until he retires.
Brian is a married father of three sons and a daughter (in that order), and
while dodging the barbs and challenges of his kids’ teenage years, he
enjoys gardening, cooking, golf, and tending to his 15-acre farm outside of
Nashville.
