Ian Saint

Journalist at NPR/PBS

Ian Saint is an Arts & Culture correspondent for NPR and PBS Ohio affiliate, WOUB Public Media, who also contributes to outlets such as the historic Buddy Magazine in Texas. He has interviewed a wide range of stars across all genres, such as The Police, Alice Cooper, the Eagles, The Judds, Heart, Donny and Marie Osmond, and Iron Maiden; plus many up-and-coming artists, as well. In addition to broadcast platforms, Ian has been a Red Carpet correspondent at major film and TV productions such as CBS’s CMT Music Awards in Austin and PBS’s “Americana Honors” ceremony at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.



Ian is also an event host and producer. He emceed the music stages at 2024’s State Fair of Texas, which was attended by an estimated 2.4 million people, and anchored State Fair Records’ behind-the-scenes videos. Ian has organized several of his own events in the Deep Ellum entertainment district of Dallas, Texas, from concerts to political candidate debates.



Previously, Ian was a film programmer, speaking panel organizer, and community relations liaison at the Women Texas Film Festival — showcasing films of all genres made by women — for 5 years, which garnered official recognition from the State of Texas and City of Dallas.



Ian has worked on several Irish-American stories over the years, including his NPR station interviews with Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys. In 2014, Ian delivered a presentation to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE)’s Chief of Air Service Development about the merits of pursuing Ireland’s flag carrier, Aer Lingus, to restore transatlantic flights at CLE; and Aer Lingus subsequently launched an inaugural Cleveland-Dublin route in 2023. Ian’s ancestry is significantly Irish, with lineages including McDermotts, O’Flyngs, and Kearneys.
