Maria Theessink is the Artistic Director at Tønder Festival, Denmark. The festival proudly celebrated its 50th edition in 2024.


Tønder presents a wide range of music – traditional, Americana, Country, Cajun, Zydeco, Singer-Songwriters, Blues – we can do anything as long as its GOOD.


​The festival takes place on the last weekend of August. The non profit Tønder Festival is considered one of Europe's most respected Folk & Roots festivals.
