USA

Kenny Sharp is a singer-songwriter with a refreshing sound dubbed “Brown Liquor Music". Expect to hear elements of Soul, Blues, Americana, Hip-Hop, Pop, and Rock, woven together by an effortless ability to tell stories and deliver a powerful vocal performance. He was born in Montgomery Alabama to two Air Force officers. Though he would come to call Washington DC home, he moved around often with his parents, even living in Germany for three years. After finishing Washington and Lee University, Kenny returned to DC and began recording at his friend's studio. Through an encounter with a major music industry professional named Krunk-A-Delic, he met hit songwriter/artist LunchMoney. Through Lunch's guidance he signed to Prescription Songs and started getting placements. Kenny also gained a fan in Citizen Cope who asked Kenny to open for him multiple nights at NYC's City Winery. Kenny ended 2021 with a nod from former President Obama who listed the song "Witchoo" as one of his favorite songs of the year. A song that was co written by Kenny with Durand Jones and the Indications.
