Northern Ireland

Matt McGinn is a singer-songwriter & producer from Co. Down. His latest album ‘Time Well Spent’ was RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Radio Ulster’s ‘Album of the Week’ featuring a wealth of incredible musicians like legend Eliza Carthy MBE and award winning singer Aoife Scott. Named ‘one to watch’ in 2020 by Hotpress Magazine, Matt had 4 singles top The BBC Radio Ulster and RTÉ Radio 1 radio airplay charts.

His album ‘Lessons of War’ received much acclaim. The lead track ‘Bubblegum’ ft. Ciara O’Neill, written with Mick Flannery, prompted BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson to ask the question “…now wasn’t that just extraordinary?…”. Matt McGinn is currently nominated for a Hotpress award for best Irish songwriter alongside Mick Flannery & Dermot Kennedy. A fan of Matt's music Christy Moore said "Matt, I'm enjoying your new tunes...as before, you never fail to deliver the pure drop." An experienced live performer, Matt builds an incredible rapport with audiences, bringing the intimacy of an Irish kitchen to the biggest of venues. Radio DJ Bob Harris said "I've seen Matt play live, he's fantastic!"
