Lark and Owl Presents
Your Roots Are Showing Conference is Ireland's newest and largest annual folk, roots, and traditional music conference. The conference provides opportunities for showcasing, professional development, and networking for artists and music industry professionals in Ireland and the international Folk community, with tailored programming for people at all stages of their careers, from emerging to export-ready.
Additionally, Your Roots Are Showing is proud to host discussion panels highlighting the impact of the Irish language, folklore, and storytelling on music and songwriting. Our aim is to preserve and advance Ireland's rich and varied culture for future generations, and we invite musicians from around the world to discuss how their own cultures and stories have impacted their music.
Over five days and four nights, Irish music industry delegates and international guests will take part in networking sessions, panel discussions, social gatherings, mentoring sessions and intimate showcases throughout the conference facilities.
This is your chance to perform for members of the Folk Music industry from all over Ireland and the world, from Festival Directors who program the world's biggest stages to House Concert Hosts who host concerts in their living rooms, and every type of live venue in between! We also host Folk DJs, Managers, Agents, Labels, Performers' Rights Organizations, Funders, Music Supervisors, and others from the industry. With our showcases, you will have the most visibility and opportunities for discovery during your time at our conference.
During the conference, there will be many opportunities to perform and jam with musicians from around the world during Sessions in the lobby until the wee hours of the night. These will take place after the Official Showcase performances.
