YRAS in the Community

At Your Roots Are Showing, education and outreach are central to our mission to enrich communities through music. Our programs celebrate Ireland's vibrant musical heritage, exploring traditional instruments, storytelling through song, and contemporary folk music.

Led by acclaimed musicians and experienced industry professionals, our workshops provide valuable insights into music performance, composition, career development, and industry-specific skills. Participants gain practical knowledge and inspiration, fostering creative expression and career advancement. Our year-round programming extends beyond our annual conference, ensuring continuous community engagement and learning opportunities.

We offer unique experiences such as our popular "Try the Pipes" initiative, which introduces participants to the Uilleann Pipes, Ireland's iconic traditional instrument. This hands-on experience helps spark interest and appreciation for traditional music among all ages and skill levels.

We are committed to enhancing access to music education, community engagement, cultural heritage preservation, and promoting diversity in creative expression.
