AL ALMA is an international folk-pop trio. Dutch-Canadian singer-songwriter Maaike Girardin, a globetrotter and daydreamer, captures her nomadic soul in candid pop songs, which are brought to life with dreamy soundscapes and rhythmic guitar by Sicilian guitarist Alberto Ammendolia, and the emotional, stirring melodies by Norwegian-Spanish violinist Alba Vivaldi Huuse.

Through their storytelling lyrics and moving melodies, the folk-pop trio delivers a captivating live show that invites the audience to come away on a journey. Since 2024, they perform under the name AL ALMA, meaning “To the soul” in Spanish, also a subtile reference to their names: AL(ba), AL(berto) en MA(aike).

With showcases in renowned venues like 013, Hedon, and De Kring, festival appearances across the Netherlands and Hungary, and recognitions such as the 2025 Hedon Scholarship and Tour Music Fest Finalist 2021, they are off to a promising start in winning hearts worldwide.
