Dave Clancy

Ireland

“Live Our Own Dream delivers Clancy’s emotive tones, singing in his native Galway accent. While it may have taken five years for the follow-up, it’s worth the wait.” - John Walshe (Hotpress, 2025)

“Live Our Own Dream feels like a companion, considered, open-hearted and quietly bold.
At once intimate and expansive, the record finds Clancy deepening his sound – melding Irish Folk Traditions with the introspection of Nick Drake” - (The Goo, 2025)

“These songs are certainly a welcome addition to the building reputation of Dave Clancy and the album is a strong successor to his excellent debut.” - Paul McGee (Lonesome Highway, 2025)

Dave Clancy releases his latest single “Now Is All We Need” from his new album Live Our Own Dream, which has been getting favourable reviews in recent weeks.

Building on his debut album The Path (2020), Dave continues to craft deeply resonant folk music, blending rich storytelling with evocative melodies. The album was recently launched in Whelan’s, Dublin.

The album includes a number of high calibre musical guests include Conor McCreanor (Foy Vance, Gretchen Peters) on bass, Eamon Murray (Beoga) on drums, Fergal Scahill on fiddle, Nicola Joyce (The Whileaways, The Half Room) on vocals, Maria Ryan(Strung) on strings, Matthew Berrill on clarinets and saxaphones and Eoin Wynne (The Half Room) on banjo, guitar and vocals. The album is engineered and co-produced by Eamon Brady and Liam Caffrey.
