Folk Division is a vibrant group of young singers and multi-instrumentalists from Galway, in the heart of the West of Ireland. Formed through a shared passion for folk music and live performance, the group quickly gained momentum. Within a short time, they were performing in leading venues across Ireland, attracting a growing following and receiving multiple invitations to perform internationally. They have recorded several tracks in the studio and have maintained a demanding live schedule over the past number of years.
The group features Thomas Ryan (whistle/guitar), who has toured internationally with a well-established traditional Irish act, and Aaron Killilea (guitar/vocals), an experienced performer abroad and frontman of a popular wedding band. Chloe Reilly is the band’s lead female vocalist and a highly regarded performer on the Irish wedding circuit. Completing the lineup is Ella Partington, a skilled session musician from Brighton whose versatility brings a distinctive dimension to the group’s sound. All four members are accomplished multi-instrumentalists, contributing to the band’s rich and varied arrangements.
