Georgia Mooney

Australia

Simply put, there is no other Australian artist like Georgia Mooney. An ARIA Award winner and true musical polymath, she blends sophisticated musicality, bold vision, and unmatched versatility across performance, presenting, and creation. Mooney exists in a league of her own—timeless, inventive, and ever-evolving.

First acclaimed as a member of beloved folk band All Our Exes Live in Texas—who toured the world with the Backstreet Boys, Nathaniel Rateliff, Midnight Oil and more—Georgia has since stepped forward as a singular voice: multi-faceted, magnetic, and adorned with a slew of awards.

Her debut solo album Full of Moon, co-produced with Grammy-winner Noah Georgeson (Cate Le Bon, Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Marlon Williams) unveils a lush dream-folk universe. Carried by Mooney’s crystalline vocals and steeped in cinematic orchestration, the album unfolds like a nocturne—romantic, luminous, and unexpected. Winding melodies drift over delicate piano, and a dulcimer she won in a raffle. It is equal parts intimacy and spectacle. Full of Moon earned ARIA and AIR Award nominations, and acclaim from The Guardian, Rolling Stone, NME, ABC, and beyond. The Australian declared it “a triumph – 4½ stars.”

A beloved musician’s musician, Mooney has toured with Passenger, Kate Miller-Heidke, Martha Wainwright, Tim Minchin, John Smith, Josh Pyke and many more, sold out headline shows across Australia and the UK; and appeared at major festivals including The Great Escape, Folk Alliance, Dark Mofo, Vivid Sydney, Bigsound & Port Fairy.

Her visionary spirit shines in SUPERGROUP, a part-chat-show, part-concert series she created, celebrating spontaneous collaboration with artists like Tim Minchin, Ngaiire, Montaigne, and Middle Kids. Lauded by critics and audiences, it reflects Mooney’s brilliance as both curator and performer, as well as her deep passion for platforming Australian music. The series toured Australia, featured at major festivals, and is set to launch as a youtube series in September 2025.

Equally magnetic as a host, she’s presented the APRA Awards in Sydney & London and co-hosts the podcast Fwends.

Georgia Mooney isn’t just making music—she’s shaping the future of it.

- The Big Issue

”From the first seconds of the album to the last, that same ethereal enchantment occurs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️” - The AU Review
