Grainne Duffy

Gráinne Duffy is a touring original artist from Co. Monaghan. Having toured internationally from Glastonbury to Woodford Folk Festival, Australia, on many blues and rock stages and featured as a headline artist at home and abroad at many theatre and festival stages, she also has recorded 4 studio and one live album. Her latest release ‘Voodoo Blues’ has earned her international acclaim featuring in a number of
European indie broadcast lists and a top 10 position on iTunes Blues chart in Canada. She is currently a BBC host with her new series Grainne Duffy Rocks featuring old and new classic rock music. She has also appeared at Mahindra Blues Festival (India) where she shared the stage with Billy Gibbons, Eric Gales, Shemekia Copeland and Supersonic Blues Machine. 2014 and 2015 saw Grainne as winner in Blues  Matters Writers Poll in the categories “Best Vocalist” and “Best SoloArtist”

Alongside this she topped the all-female led bill at Cornbury Festival 2018 alongside Alanis Morissette and Mavis Staples. Duffy released her 4th studio album “Voodoo Blues” in October 2020 which was warmly received internationally achieving # 7 in UK IBBA Top 40, # 13 in USA RMR and # 8 in France Powerblues charts and earned Duffy winner in the Independent Blues Awards 2021 in the category “Best Modern Roots Artist”.
