Malin Pettersen

Norway

Norwegian Americana powerhouse Malin Pettersen announces her latest album 'Wildflower,' marking a triumphant return to her roots while showcasing her artistic evolution. The self-produced album serves as both a spiritual successor to her acclaimed 2020 release 'Wildhorse' and a culmination of her diverse musical journey.

"This album is about creating something intuitively, in the moment, in the room," Pettersen explains. "It's about channeling everything I've learned into something authentic and immediate."

Recorded with her long-time collaborators - Øyvind Blomstrøm (bass), Nikolai Grasaasen (guitar/piano), Stian Jørgen Sveen (pedal steel), and Sigmund Vestrheim (drums) - the album captures the electric energy of a band at their creative peak.
Following her exploration of pop/R&B and acoustic arrangements, 'Wildflower' represents Pettersen's most confident work to date. Her signature songwriting combines memorable melodies with profound lyricism, tackling personal narratives and social issues with equal grace.

'Wildflower' further cements Malin Pettersen's reputation as one of Scandinavia's most versatile and compelling artists, proving her creative well runs deeper with each release.
