Steady Habits

England

Steady Habits is a journey through the backroads of memory, love letters scribbled in the margins of small-town maps. Rooted in Americana but reaching beyond, the project blends alt-country flair, pop-driven melodies, and the unmistakable voice of New England native Sean C. Duggan, whose songs carry both grit and grace.
Pinned as one of Holler's ‘Best of UK Country & Americana’, Steady Habits has supported artists including The Hanging Stars, Our Man in the Field, Morganway and Toria Wooff, with appearances at major festivals such as The AMA UK Conference, Black Deer, Truck Festival and The Long Road.
Duggan’s songwriting, called “poignant, youthful Americana” by Country Queer, unravels the quiet rebellions of everyday life: choosing softness, staying, leaving, beginning again. Finalist in Holler’s 2024 Songwriting Competition for the title track of their upcoming album “Deviate”, a joyful, semi-autobiographical anthem about growing up queer in the US, his work is less about nostalgia and more about reclamation.
Steady Habits is music for those who carry their past like a patchwork quilt: threadbare in places, beautiful in its making, and always warm enough to come home to.
