Steve Ray Ladson, a multi-talented musician and songwriter from Hopkins, South Carolina, has emerged as one of the most compelling voices in Country music. Rising to national prominence following his standout performance on America's Got Talent in July 2025, Ladson captivated audiences and judges alike with his original composition "Back of My Truck," earning unanimous approval from all four judges and advancing to the next round.

The performance drew enthusiastic praise from the judging panel, with Sofia Vergara declaring him her favorite music act of the season, exclaiming "You guys were amazing, I loved it!" Simon Cowell was equally impressed, stating "Everything was, like, on point. I love the song, I love you. I love the band." Ladson's musical journey began in his teenage years performing in Gospel quartets, where he developed his foundational skills and stage presence.
