The Haar

Ireland and England

A radically fresh, boundary-pushing take on traditional songs, The Haar brings together the sublime and versatile voice of Molly Donnery with three of the finest instrumentalist improvisers on the folk and traditional scene: Cormàc Byrne, Adam Summerhayes and Murray Grainger. Their thrilling spontaneity and deep trust in each other create ever-shifting musical landscapes — a “splendid balance of swirling instrumental magic and beautifully sung narratives” (KLOF Mag). Known for transforming familiar tunes into something breathtakingly new, The Haar blend imagination, virtuosity and emotional depth. The Haar will be touring with their third album ‘The Lost Day’ throughout 2026.

“Devastatingly beautiful.” – Bristol 24/7
“A sweeping panorama of Irish traditional music and song.” – Songlines
