Myles McCormack
Northern Ireland
Writing impactful songs with a delicate touch, Myles has been making a unique mark on the Belfast music scene and beyond. His songs are lyrically nuanced and poignant messages which deftly manoeuvre between tumultuousness and serenity. Whilst being deeply ingrained in Belfast's traditional music scene, Myles’s original songwriting has gained its own dedicated audience.
At the opening of 2022 he was confirmed as Artist-in-Residence for the prestigious Out To Lunch festival in the city and has a track record for selling out his shows in Belfast (Duncairn Arts Centre ‘19, St Joseph's Church, CQAF ‘22, The Deers Head ‘23). He went on to be showcased at the PRS For Music stage at Output Belfast ‘22, as well as festivals in France (solo) and Spain (with Réalta) and playing as part of Joshua Burnside's live band for his ‘Seacht Line’ instrumental project and Ulster Hall headline show.
This year saw the release of his 2nd LP ‘To Better All Things’, to a sold out audience. In the summer a much anticipated collaboration will begin to emerge, beginning with a single duet with Cathy Jordan, and culminating in a new Réalta album featuring Myles’ original songs as well as traditional arrangements.
